Keling is the brand of Jiangsu Keling Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer that has specialised in operating theatre and intensive care equipment for three decades. The business was founded in 1996 and became Jiangsu Keling Medical Equipment in a 1998 restructuring. Manufacturing is based in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, and its export arm, Shanghai Keling International Trade, handles overseas markets. The range covers most of the fixed equipment in a modern theatre suite. Its surgical lighting includes LED shadowless lights, multi-reflector lamps and auxiliary examination lights. Its operating tables include the KL and DL electric series, mechanical tables and orthopaedic traction frames. Medical pendants come in electric, mechanical and bridge-mounted configurations for theatres and ICUs. For maternity and gynaecology departments, Keling makes electric delivery beds, combined obstetric and gynaecological operating tables, electric gynaecology chairs and nursing delivery beds. The catalogue also includes hospital beds, electric examination couches, surgical suction units, sputum aspirators and gastric lavage machines. Its electric operating tables use electro-hydraulic drives with ultra-low minimum height and one-touch positioning, and suit specialities from ENT and neurosurgery to thoracic, urological, and minimally invasive work.
The Yangzhou production base covers more than 100,000 square metres. It includes six dedicated production lines and has an annual capacity of about 30,000 units. Engineering has been central to the company's growth. Keling has been a recognised National High-Tech Enterprise since 2009 and runs a provincial engineering research centre focused on electro-hydraulic drive design for medical devices. It holds 187 patents, including 14 invention patents, in optics, drive control, human–machine interaction and new materials. Its quality management system has been ISO 9001 certified since 2000. Other recognitions include China Well-Known Trademark status, inclusion in the National Torch Programme for industrial demonstration projects, and vice-presidency of the Jiangsu Medical Device Industry Association. Hospitals have used its equipment in demanding settings. In 2021, Keling equipped designated hospitals for the Beijing Winter Olympics, and during the 2020 outbreak, it moved quickly into producing ultraviolet disinfection carts for Wuhan.
Keling exports to more than 130 countries and regions across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. In China, its equipment is installed in more than 400 top-tier Grade A tertiary hospitals and over 4,000 secondary-level and larger hospitals. Its customers are mainly hospitals fitting out or upgrading operating theatres, intensive care units and maternity wards. It also supplies integrated theatre and ICU solutions, with pendant configurations built to each project's layout. A dedicated customer service department supports installed equipment. The company exhibits regularly at international trade fairs, most recently MEDICA 2025 in Düsseldorf and CMEF in Shanghai in spring 2026, where it marked its 30th anniversary. Keling's stated mission is to "let love light up the future." With thirty years of specialist experience, it offers hospitals worldwide a dependable Chinese source of theatre lighting, operating tables and critical-care infrastructure.
