The 3009A is a hydraulic pneumatic operating table for hospitals where the anaesthetist controls patient positioning during surgery. Surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre nurses and operating department practitioners work around it on general and specialist lists.
Anaesthetic workflow is the core benefit. Because every movement is worked from one handle under the head plate, the anaesthetist can respond to changes in the patient’s condition without moving away from the airway, monitors and drug trolley. Tipping the table head-down when blood pressure falls, or head-up to ease ventilation, happens in seconds from the same position.
In general surgery, a 15° head-down and head-up tilt serves pelvic and upper abdominal operations, while a 15° lateral tilt exposes the gallbladder or spleen. The waist board lifts at least 60 mm to open the flank for renal procedures, with the shoulder and waist support frames holding the patient on the side.
Gynaecology and urology lower the leg boards 90° and split them through 180°, with the leg support frames holding the patient in lithotomy. The headboard drops to 90° to extend the neck for thyroid surgery, and the arm-resting frames support hand and forearm procedures.
Orthopaedic and trauma teams use the imported carbon plastic plate for X-ray examination during fracture surgery, with the table's coincidence rail. The screen frame separates the anaesthetic area from the sterile field.
District and general hospitals that run mixed lists with one anaesthetist per theatre gain most. The 150 kg load rating covers a broad range of adult patients, and the foot treadle brake and cleanable base keep turnaround simple between cases.
