What counts as an IPR complaint

You can file a report with Medigear.uk if you spot:

• A listing that uses your registered trademark, brand name, or logo without authorisation
• A product that copies a patented design you own
• Photos, descriptions, or instructions copied from your own work
• Fake goods sold under your brand
• Use of a registered design or drawing without leave
• Any other clear breach of rights on a Medigear.uk listing

What we need from you

To act fast on a valid report, we need a clear, full claim. Please send us:

• Your full name and the company you represent
• Your contact details, with a working email
• Proof of the right you hold — a registration number or filing reference
• The exact URL of the listing you are reporting
• A clear note on how the listing breaks your right
• A signed statement that the facts you give are true
• Confirmation that you can act on behalf of the rights holder

Reports missing key details are returned with a request for more information. Medigear.uk does not act on claims without sources or proof.

How we review your report

Our team reviews every valid report within a short, fixed window. The process is:

• Check the proof you sent against the listing.
• Contact the seller for their reply.
• Compare product images, text, and reference data.
• Cross-check trademark and patent records where needed
• Reach a clear call based on the proof on both sides.

If the report is upheld, the listing is removed, and the seller is notified. Repeat offenders are banned from the platform. If not upheld, we explain why and outline the appeal process.

False or bad-faith reports

Reports filed in bad faith to harm a rival, stall a launch, or target a legitimate seller are serious. They may result in penalties under UK and EU law. Medigear.uk keeps all reports and may share them with sellers and courts if required.

Counter-notice for sellers

If your listing was removed in error, file a counter-notice with Medigear.uk. Provide the original takedown reference, proof of rights or licence, and explain why the removal was incorrect. We will review your counter-notice and notify you of our decision.
