The KL-CB.I is a labour, delivery and recovery bed for maternity units, obstetric wards and gynaecology departments. Midwives, obstetricians, anaesthetists and maternity nurses care for women on it from admission in early labour to recovery after birth.
In early and active labour, free postures matter most to the mother. She can lie on her side to rest, sit upright in the chair position, kneel with her chest forward or lean over the raised backrest, changing as contractions and the baby’s position require. The inner control panel lets her make some of those changes herself, and the midwife can lock it if needed.
Delivery takes place on the same bed. The footboard lowers and folds outward to open the end of the bed, and the leg boards rise to 65° and split to 90°. Supplied leg support frames then hold her in lithotomy for assisted delivery and for perineal repair afterwards. Beneath the delivery area, a stainless steel sewage basin collects fluids.
Recovery and observation also happen without a transfer. The backrest and seatboard bring her into a comfortable sitting position for feeding and bonding, and the ultra-low height makes her first stand easier. If her condition deteriorates, the fast CPR lever flattens the backrest immediately.
Gynaecology departments use the bed for examinations and minor lithotomy procedures. Maternity units moving to a single-room labour, delivery and recovery model gain most, because one bed serves the whole stay, LINAK motors keep movement smooth, and quiet central-locking castors let staff reposition it easily.
