The 3001A is a manual operating table for hospitals, clinics and field facilities that want full positioning from a purely mechanical table with a cleanable stainless base. Surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre nurses and operating department practitioners use it across everyday general and specialist surgical lists.
Rural and district hospitals, mission hospitals, military and humanitarian field units, and outreach surgical teams are its natural home. Because nothing on the table is powered, it works in temporary theatres, in buildings with limited sockets, and wherever a charging routine is hard to maintain.
General surgery uses 20° of Trendelenburg for lower abdominal and pelvic procedures and 15° of reverse Trendelenburg for gallbladder and gastric operations. A 15° lateral tilt helps expose the spleen or gallbladder. The waist board, which lifts at least 100 mm, and the shoulder support frames position patients for kidney and flank surgery.
Obstetric and gynaecological teams lower the leg boards to 90° and use the leg support frames for lithotomy during vaginal and perineal procedures and caesarean-related repairs. The headboard lowers to 90° for thyroid surgery, the backboard rises to 70° for semi-sitting positions, and the arm resting frames support hand and arm procedures. The screen frame divides the anaesthetic area from the sterile field.
Facilities with little biomedical support gain most. A mechanical drive with Y-type seals and a 304 stainless base and column keeps maintenance to routine checks and cleaning, while two-sided controls and a rotary brake make the table easy for any member of staff to use and move.
