The DFX-23C.III is a high-flow mobile suction machine for emergency and trauma theatres, obstetric theatres, vascular and orthopaedic operating rooms, and the wards they serve. Surgeons, obstetricians, anaesthetists, scrub nurses, operating department practitioners and ward staff all rely on it.
Trauma surgery is the clearest fit. A patient with major abdominal or pelvic injury can lose blood rapidly, and the team needs to see the source to control it. A pump moving at least 60 L/min, or 80 L/min with the option, keeps the field clear while packs and clamps go in.
Obstetric emergencies place similar demands on suction. Caesarean sections complicated by placenta praevia or uterine atony, and laparotomy for ruptured ectopic pregnancy, can release large volumes quickly. The graduated 2,500 ml vessels help the team track blood loss against transfusion decisions.
Vascular and major orthopaedic surgery, such as aneurysm repair, hip revision or spinal fusion, combine steady bleeding with irrigation fluid. High flow and 5 litres of total capacity let long cases continue with few container changes, and the foot switch keeps the assistant’s hands free.
On the ward, the regulator lowers vacuum for oral and tracheal suction in patients recovering from surgery or with chest infections, so one machine covers both settings.
Major trauma centres, maternity units, district hospitals that receive emergencies, and military or disaster field hospitals gain most. The oil-free pump needs no routine maintenance, overflow protection guards the motor during heavy aspiration, and the cold-rolled steel shell handles frequent moves between theatre and ward.
