The KL-T8000 is a bridge suspension unit for intensive care units, high-dependency areas, observation rooms and post-anaesthesia recovery. Intensivists, critical care nurses, recovery staff, physiotherapists and radiographers all work around it.
Intensive care is its main setting. A ventilated patient needs oxygen, suction, and compressed air at the head of the bed; monitors and several infusion pumps within reach of the nurse; and space for physiotherapy, portable imaging, and turning. With dry and wet modules sliding along the bridge, the gases can sit by the airway while pumps and monitors move to the nurse’s working side. Both modules can be parted when a portable X-ray machine or extra staff need to reach the bed.
Recovery and observation rooms benefit from the same flexibility. Patients arrive from theatre on trolleys or beds in different orientations, and staff move the modules to suit each arrival, while two oxygen terminals support oxygen therapy and a second device at the same time.
The light in the middle of the bridge provides illumination for examination, line insertion and wound care without a separate lamp. Ten power outlets and two network outlets supply modern monitoring and infusion systems, and the telephone outlet keeps the bed space connected.
Units building or refurbishing critical care beds gain the most, especially those planning teaching and remote consultation. The bridge can add optional communication machines, video phones, and teaching and remote consultation systems, and the separate dry and wet design keeps electrical equipment away from gas connections in every bed space.
