The KL-T6200 is a ceiling-mounted pendant for operating rooms that carry out endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, in both clean and general theatre suites. Surgeons, assistants, anaesthetists, theatre nurses, and theatre technicians all use its equipment throughout each list.
Laparoscopic general surgery is its typical setting. Cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, hernia repair, colorectal and bariatric procedures all rely on a camera, light source, insufflator and monitors. The workstation holds that stack at a convenient height, and the carbon dioxide terminal supplies the insufflator directly, with no separate gas cylinder needed beside the table.
Gynaecology and urology use the same arrangement for laparoscopic hysterectomy, ovarian surgery and nephrectomy, and for cystoscopy and ureteroscopy with their own video systems. Orthopaedic teams carrying out knee and shoulder arthroscopy place the arthroscopy tower on the workstation, and thoracic surgeons use it for video-assisted procedures.
Data and communication matter in modern theatres. The network outlet supports image recording and connection to hospital systems, while the telephone outlet lets the team reach colleagues during a case. Eight power outlets give each device its own supply.
Hospitals equipping dedicated laparoscopic or minimally invasive theatres gain most, along with day-surgery units where endoscopic lists run back to back. With the stack and its services suspended from the ceiling, the floor stays clear for the operating table and staff, and the room cleans faster and turns over quicker between cases. Oxygen, suction and anaesthesia gas terminals also make the pendant useful at the anaesthetic end of the table.
