Visionstar HLS-16
Product code: EOAS-ECA-3675
Visionstar's HLS-16 consists of sixteen loose acrylic prisms, each mounted on a stainless steel stick: ½, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 Δ. A red filter lens brings the datasheet total to 17 pieces, and the count matches the list. The set is packed in an aluminium case, which the photograph shows with the prisms standing in rows on a lined tray. Prism size, case dimensions, weight, calibration position, power marking and the method of fixing each stick are not published.
Over its working life, a loose prism set loses value mainly through missing and damaged pieces. A single lost prism leaves a gap in the range until it is replaced, and scratched faces blur the target. This set has sixteen pieces, each held upright in its own place, so a missing value is easy to spot when the case is closed at the end of a session. The stainless steel handles let staff lift and return prisms without touching the optical faces. The replacement price and lead time for a single prism are not published, and knowing them before purchase turns a hidden running cost into a known one.
The range has gaps: there is no 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 or 14 Δ prism, and steps above 20 Δ are 5 Δ apart, so some angles are recorded as a bracket between two prisms.
Medigear.uk lists the HLS-16 and can arrange delivery worldwide. Request single-prism replacement pricing, the calibration position, stick fixing, marking, dimensions and the declaration of conformity from the seller before order.
