The SCM800-PRO is built for practices that document as routinely as they treat. Endodontists record access, canal location, instrumentation and obturation for patient files and referral letters. Every step is captured from the operator's view at 3,840 × 2,160. Restorative dentists document caries removal, margins and finished restorations, and the files feed straight into the bundled image management software.
Case documentation supports clinical governance and patient communication. Before-and-after images help explain treatment to patients, and recorded footage supports case reviews with colleagues. Specialist practices receiving referrals can send the referring dentist a visual record of the treatment carried out. Because recording runs from the wireless foot pedal, documentation fits into the procedure without breaking the clinician's focus.
Periodontal and implant surgeons use the system to record microsurgical flap design, graft placement and fine suturing. The green filter brings out fine vessels and nerves both in the eyepieces and on camera, and the orange filter slows resin curing during restorative stages.
Teaching settings make full use of the live 4K output. Dental schools, postgraduate programmes and study clubs can show procedures on a 27-inch 4K UHD monitor as they happen, then build teaching libraries from the recordings. Its users include endodontists, periodontists, implant surgeons, restorative specialists, referral practices and clinical educators. The 195 to 450 mm working distance, 0° to 180° binocular tube and pendulum system keep clinicians upright through long recorded procedures. The five-step changer makes each magnification level repeatable, so recordings made weeks apart can be compared at the same scale.
