Eight Working Modes

Four monopolar cutting modes, two monopolar coagulation modes and two bipolar modes are each listed with rated load, output ceiling, peak voltage and crest factor.

Bipolar Cutting and Coagulation

Bipolar standard cut is listed at 100 ohms, 70W and 700V, alongside bipolar standard coagulation at 100 ohms, 70W and 550V, both with crest factor 1.6.

Monopolar Cutting Range

Pure cut reaches 300W into 500 ohms at 1900V. Blend 1, 2 and 3 follow at 250W, 200W and 150W with peak voltages of 2300V, 2500V and 2800V.

Fulgurate and Spray Coagulation

Fulgurate is listed at 120W and 2800V with crest factor 2.9. Spray is listed at 100W and 7000V with crest factor 6.2, the most interrupted waveform on the console.

Endoscopic Vessel Sealing

Sealing is described for vessels up to 7mm under bipolar coagulation, and separately for endoscopic instruments working under water.

Automatic Start and Stop

Under bipolar cut and coagulation the operator can choose pedal control or automatic control, so activation need not always come from the footswitch.

Optional Memory Presets

An optional memory function provides 0 to 10 locations for user defined settings, allowing arrangements to be stored for different interventions and different surgeons.

Touch Screen and Monitoring

An 8 inch TFT LCD touch screen carries all functions with no extra buttons or knobs, alongside return electrode monitoring and an automatic self test at switch on.

Bipolar Dissection and Haemostasis

Having both a bipolar cut at 700V and a bipolar coagulation at 550V, each at 70W into 100 ohms, means a surgeon can dissect and secure without leaving bipolar working. Current stays between the forceps tips rather than passing through the patient to a return electrode. Where that matters clinically is a surgical judgement, and nothing on a product page should be read as guidance on when to use it. Graduated Monopolar Cutting

Pure cut at 300W and three blend levels descending to 150W give a progression rather than a single alternative, with crest factor climbing from 1.6 to 2.9 as power falls and the effect moves toward haemostasis. A surgeon can therefore find an intermediate setting instead of choosing between a clean cut and full coagulation, matching the waveform to the tissue in front of them.

Endoscopic and Underwater Work

Endoscopic vessel sealing under water is listed as a separate capability, and an underwater cut socket for endoscopic cutting appears among the stated compatibilities. Together these bear directly on the transurethral resection named in the manufacturer's application list, where cutting and sealing take place in an irrigated field rather than in air.

Consistency Across Surgeons and Lists

Optional memory locations let a department store the arrangements its surgeons actually use, so a setting is recalled at the start of a case instead of rebuilt from scratch. In a theatre shared by several consultants with different preferences, that removes a recurring source of delay and of settings being approximated under time pressure.

Bipolar That Does Both Jobs

A dedicated bipolar cutting mode alongside bipolar coagulation is the clearest distinction this console offers. Many generators treat bipolar as a coagulation-only facility, leaving dissection to monopolar working. Having both means current can stay confined between the forceps tips through more of a procedure, and the published figures show the two modes differing in peak voltage at the same power, which is what makes them behave differently in tissue at the same nominal power.

Settings That Survive Between Cases

Up to ten memory locations for user defined settings turn a console from something configured each morning into something that remembers how a department works. Combined with automatic start and stop under bipolar modes and a self test at switch on, more of the routine around a list is handled by the equipment rather than by the team remembering to do it, which is where consistency between one list and the next tends to be lost.

Integration With the Room
