Seven Working Modes

Four monopolar cutting modes, two monopolar coagulation modes and one bipolar mode are each listed with their own rated load, output ceiling, peak voltage and crest factor.

Pure Cut to 400W

Pure cutting is listed at 500 ohms rated load, 400W maximum output, 1900V peak to peak and a typical crest factor of 1.6, the highest cutting power of the seven modes.

Three Graded Blend Levels

Blend 1 is listed at 250W and 2300V, Blend 2 at 200W and 2500V, Blend 3 at 150W and 2800V, with crest factors rising from 2.5 to 2.9 as power falls.

Fulgurate Coagulation

Spray Coagulation

Spray is listed at 500 ohms, 100W, 7000V and crest factor 6.2, giving the highest peak voltage and the most interrupted waveform on the console.

Bipolar Coagulation

Bipolar standard coagulation is listed at 100 ohms rated load, 70W maximum output, 550V peak to peak and a typical crest factor of 1.6.

Return Electrode Monitoring

The manufacturer describes a contact quality monitoring system watching patient impedance and deactivating the generator when a contact fault is detected.

Compatibility and Interface

Argon plasma coagulation equipment, a smoke evacuation system and an underwater cut socket for endoscopic cutting are all listed, with several selectable interface languages.

Graduated Cutting

Four cutting modes give a progression rather than a choice between two settings. Pure cut at 400W and crest factor 1.6 is the cleanest waveform, and each blend step raises crest factor and lowers power, moving the effect toward haemostasis. A surgeon can therefore match the setting to the tissue and the bleeding they expect. Which mode suits a given case is entirely a surgical judgement that no listing should attempt to inform.
