The LU710C supports abdominal ultrasound in hospitals, outpatient departments and diagnostic clinics. Its convex array provides a wide field for assessing abdominal structures, with imaging depth adjustable up to 30 cm. Renal, Spleen, and Bladder Meas. presets provide dedicated starting settings for these examinations. Battery operation brings the scanner to the examination position, while the connected screen carries image controls and measurements.
In obstetric and gynaecological departments, the probe supports transabdominal imaging with OB Early, OB Mid Late and GYN presets. The app's distance and area measurements record dimensions of the structures under assessment. The app can include image annotations and selected frames in the examination report. With the probe in hand and the display positioned nearby, the clinician can acquire views and document findings within the same examination session.
Acute care departments can use the FAST preset for focused ultrasound assessment, and the manufacturer also identifies lung imaging among the probe's applications. Leltek also identifies cardiac imaging and vascular access among its uses. Its freeze control retains an image during an examination, while the cine buffer supports review of the most recent image sequence. B-mode provides the underlying anatomical image. Optional Doppler functions add flow assessment when the examination uses those configured capabilities, with runtime specified for each mode.
For departments conducting repeated examinations, the scanner's battery and cleaning process form part of its daily use. The 6000 mAh battery supports about 4.5 hours in B-mode or M-mode, and a compatible charging dock is available in the equipment area. Between intact-skin examinations, the probe undergoes cleaning and low-level surface disinfection using 70% isopropyl alcohol. Its saved records retain images, measurements and annotations for subsequent clinical review.
