Cardiology services use the LK128PA for its intended examination. The operator selects the cardiac preset, freezes the four-chamber view at end diastole and at end systole, and turns on the EF measure to receive an automatic ejection fraction. Each step happens in the app, on the paired screen. Colour Doppler and power Doppler add flow to the grey-scale image, and M-mode records valve and wall movement over time.
Emergency and acute care teams use the probe for FAST (focused assessment with sonography in trauma), which the manufacturer lists as a headline application. The 30 cm depth reaches deep abdominal structures, and the lung application suits bedside chest examinations. Abdominal scanning is also listed, so one wireless probe covers several routine questions on a ward round. Because the system is fully wireless, scanning can begin wherever the patient is placed.
Obstetric services use the same probe for mid- and late-pregnancy scans, because the manufacturer lists OB mid and late among its clinical applications. The 90° sector shows the field around the contact point, and the low frequency range carries the beam through deeper tissue.
Qualified physicians, sonographers, and trained clinical staff operate the probe from the app on a paired screen of their choice. That screen can be a phone, tablet or laptop that the site already uses, and optional DICOM 3.0 lets sites that archive studies send images to their imaging record. The 236 g, IP68 body travels between wards, clinic rooms and cardiology lists with the operator.
