The LK128LH serves clinicians who examine the first few centimetres of tissue and want a one-handed scanner. Aesthetic practices use the Aesthetic preset for vascular mapping and to measure the thickness of dermal and fat layers, and the 17.0 MHz upper frequency displays those layers as separate bands on the screen. Colour and power Doppler show where vessels run before a treatment begins.
Vascular and general outpatient clinics rely on the Carotid and Peripheral Vessels presets, with automatic IMT measurement available from a frozen sagittal view of the carotid. Thyroid and breast services use the Thyroid and Breast presets, where the array's fine pitch resolves small structures in the gland and surrounding tissue. Musculoskeletal and physiotherapy rooms use the MSK preset for muscle and tendon surfaces, and the optional fat measurement adds an automatic thickness reading for skin, fat and muscle.
Nerve imaging uses the Nerves preset, and the needle enhancement function supports needle work at shallow depth. Because the probe weighs 221 g and has its own battery, the operator can move it between treatment rooms and use only a paired screen.
Qualified physicians, sonographers, and trained clinical staff operate the probe from the app on a paired screen they choose. That screen can be a phone, tablet or laptop that the practice already uses, and optional DICOM 3.0 lets sites that archive studies send images to their imaging record. The IP68 body suits rooms where gel and frequent cleaning are routine.
