The LK128L serves clinicians who examine tissue close to the skin and want a handheld scanner. Vascular and general outpatient clinics use the carotid and peripheral vessel presets, where colour and power Doppler show flow and the automatic IMT measure records the carotid wall thickness from a frozen sagittal view. The probe's 12.6 cm depth covers the neck and limb structures those exams reach, and the paired screen keeps the operator facing the person being scanned.
Thyroid and breast services work with the Thyroid and Breast presets. The 4.2 to 12.5 MHz range resolves fine detail in small organs, and the clinical measurement tools record the dimensions of what the operator finds. Musculoskeletal and physiotherapy rooms use the MSK preset for muscle, tendon and joint surfaces, and the optional subcutaneous fat measurement adds an automatic thickness reading for skin, fat and muscle layers.
Nerve imaging uses the Nerve preset, and the needle enhancement function supports needle work at the shallow depths where nerves and superficial targets lie. Because the probe weighs 223 g and has its own battery, it moves between rooms with the operator and needs only a paired screen, so a single probe can serve an entire outpatient floor.
Qualified physicians, sonographers and trained clinical staff operate the probe. The paired Android, iOS or Windows screen can be a phone, tablet or laptop that the clinic already uses, and optional DICOM 3.0 lets sites that archive studies send images to their imaging record. The IP68 body suits are suitable for rooms where gel, wipes and cleaning are routine.
