The LK128C is intended for qualified physicians and healthcare professionals who scan the body trunk at the point of care. Its convex array and 30 cm depth suit the abdomen, kidneys, bladder, obstetric and gynaecological anatomy and lungs, and nine presets match the settings to each exam, so the clinical question decides the first choice in the app.
In emergency departments, the FAST preset sets up a focused bedside abdominal exam, and the same probe moves on to lung imaging when the question changes. A 266 g weight and a wireless link keep the operator beside the patient, with the display within reach.
Obstetric and gynaecological services use the OB Early and OB Mid Late presets for pregnancy scans, and the GYN preset for pelvic scans. Early and later pregnancy each start from their own preset, so the operator moves between stages with one selection. The automatic measurement tool supports obstetric measurements, and the 60° field of view frames a wide section of the abdomen.
Urology and nephrology services use the Bladder Measurement preset, which automatically calculates bladder volume and lengths, and the Renal preset for the kidneys. General medical teams on wards and in outpatient clinics scan the abdomen and spleen with the Abdomen, Abdomen Difficult and Spleen presets, and the same app and presets let a service standardise its starting settings across sites.
Where a needle is guided under ultrasound, the reusable needle guide offers convex biopsy angles of 15°, 25° and 35°. For inter-site work, the aluminium carry briefcase measures 36 × 25 × 10 cm and weighs 1.2 kg.
