The LeSONO Protective Case supports the stage of ultrasound work around the examination itself: carrying a handheld scanner to where it is needed and keeping it safe until then. A handheld scanner is compact, and the briefcase gives it an aluminium shell and a solid foam interior, so the same item covers transport and storage.
The settings follow the scanner. Clinics, hospital departments and mobile services all use handheld ultrasound, and each moves the scanner between rooms or sites. In a clinic, the briefcase is the place the scanner is kept between sessions. On a round or outreach visit, it is the item carried. Its 1.2 kg weight and 360 × 250 × 100 mm size describe a briefcase that is handled as one piece.
The users are clinicians, sonographers, and technical teams who work with the scanner, as well as staff who look after the equipment between uses. The interior pairs solid foam with a removable top piece, so the interior arrangement belongs to the briefcase itself. Whoever opens the briefcase finds the scanner held in solid foam inside the aluminium shell.
The routine around the briefcase is short and easy to learn. A user opens it, takes the scanner from the solid foam and closes the briefcase again once the scanner is back in place. Because the shell, foam, and top piece form one item, the briefcase stays the fixed point for carrying and storage throughout the day, wherever the scanner returns.
