The KL04L.I (LED) is a mobile LED surgical light for theatres and procedure rooms where strong light has to be brought to the table and held steady there. Surgeons, obstetricians, gynaecologists, urologists, anaesthetists, and theatre nurses use it every day.
Obstetric theatres and delivery suites use it for caesarean sections and perineal repair. A mother under spinal anaesthesia is awake throughout, and warming at her head of 2 °C or less keeps her comfortable while 80,000 lux lights the uterus and the surrounding vessels. The brakes keep the lamp exactly where it was set as midwives, paediatricians and the surgical team move around the table.
Gynaecology lists use it for hysterectomy, myomectomy and pelvic floor repair, and urology lists for open bladder, prostate and scrotal surgery, often in the lithotomy position where the light has to be aimed low and held precisely. General surgeons use it for hernia repair, laparotomy, and soft-tissue excision, and emergency teams use it for wound exploration and repairing complex lacerations.
Hospitals choose a mobile LED lamp to light a theatre without overhead fittings, to add a second light beside a fixed one, or to serve several rooms in turn. As their caseloads grow, district hospitals and surgical centres find it a practical way to bring LED surgical light into rooms.
Colour rendering between Ra 85 and Ra 100 supports judgements about perfusion and tissue viability in every one of these settings. Upkeep centres on replacing 24 V, 100 W LED bulbs, and the lamp runs from a standard 220 V, 50 Hz outlet.
