The KL01L-IILED-I is an everyday examination light for rooms where patients are seen in more than one position. Because the head turns through a half circle on both axes and the column adjusts by 400 mm or more, the same lamp lights a patient lying flat, sitting upright or standing.
In general practice and outpatient consulting rooms, it stands beside the couch. The clinician brings the head over for an abdominal or skin examination, then swings it level for a throat, ear, or eye exam without asking the patient to move. Neutral 4,500 K light at Ra 85 or above shows rashes, wounds and mucous membranes in natural colour.
Gynaecology and sexual health clinics set the column low and turn the head to the horizontal, so the beam runs along the clinician’s line of sight for speculum examinations. ENT and dental assessment rooms raise it to head height for a seated patient and angle it into the mouth or nose. Podiatry and wound care clinics drop it towards the foot of a treatment chair and point it down at the limb.
Treatment rooms use it for dressing changes, suture removal, cannulation, and inspecting minor injuries, where 30,000 lux at 1 metre provides clear working light on a small area. Onwards, the castor base brings it to the bedside for wound checks and pressure-area inspection, and it returns to the treatment room afterwards. Community clinics and visiting services value a lamp that one staff member can roll into position, set to height, and aim with one hand on the head.
