The KL01L-IILED (AC/DC) is a light for the examination itself: the few minutes when a clinician must see a small area clearly while keeping both hands busy. Its named uses are ENT, urology and gynaecology examinations, together with auxiliary lighting for outpatient surgery.
In an ENT room, the head is drawn down on its spring arm to throw light along the line of sight into the ear, nose or throat. Gynaecology and sexual health clinics place the stand at the foot of the couch and aim the beam past the clinician’s shoulder for speculum examinations, smears and coil fittings. Urology clinics use it in the same way for catheter work and genital examination. In each case the neutral white output shows mucosal colour faithfully, and the cold beam lets the head sit close for the length of the appointment.
Minor procedure and treatment rooms use the lamp for suturing, wound care, lesion removal and dressing changes, where 60,000 lux at 1 metre lights the field and the digital control trims it for reflective skin or a nervous patient. In outpatient theatres it works as a supplementary light, filling a cavity or an angle from the side.
Dual power widens the list of places it can work. On wards, nurses and junior doctors roll it to the bedside for cannulation, wound checks and pressure-area inspection, running on battery at beds where the sockets are already taken. Emergency departments, community clinics, mobile health units and field hospitals value the same independence, because the light is ready wherever the patient has been placed. Dermatology, podiatry and general practice rooms use it as a shared lamp that moves between clinicians through the day.
