Surgical teams are the audience for the CompaX 500 Series Pro, and Browiner names four lists where it excels: orthopaedic, pain management, general, and urinary surgeries. A team that covers several of them can bring the same system to each theatre, so the arm positioning and image reading routine stays familiar from one list to the next.
Orthopaedic work is the setting Browiner singles out, and the 5 kW output is described as fit for orthopaedic surgery. Digital technology runs through the whole imaging process, so the surgeon sees images with enhanced detail visualisation while the procedure is underway. The advanced FPD technology delivers each image to the display in exceptional quality.
Space matters around a patient on the table. The large C-arm geometry provides surgical space, letting the operating team keep instruments, assistants, and the arm in the same area without crowding. The handle and axis are colour-coded, so a radiographer new to the system, or covering another theatre, can find the control for each movement by colour.
Layout follows the theatre. Four designs are offered, including an all-in-one compact C-arm and a single-screen C-arm, so a department can choose the arrangement that suits its room and its staff. Whichever design is chosen, the output, the detector and the geometry stay the same, and the theatre team learns one set of habits for all of them. Digital technology also keeps the images in a form the team can review on screen at once, so they can make positioning decisions with the picture in front of them.
