A-Scan Biometry With Lens Calculation
The axial examination reports anterior chamber depth, lens thickness and axial length among other parameters, and calculates intraocular lens power from the axial length.
B-Scan Cross-Sectional Imaging
B-mode produces a profile image of the eyeball showing internal anatomy, which is what allows assessment to continue when the media are too opaque for light to pass.
Both Examinations on One Console
Biometry and cross-sectional imaging run from the same instrument, so a department needing both does not require two separate systems or two positions. Staff also learn one interface rather than two separate ones.
Adjustable Frozen Images
Parameters can be adjusted on images already frozen and stored, so a review afterwards is not limited to the settings chosen at the moment of acquisition.
Gain and Time Gain Compensation
Both controls govern how the returning signal is displayed, letting the operator bring out structures that would otherwise be lost in the presentation.
Caliper, Marker and Area Tools
Measurement tools work on stored images, supporting careful assessment of structures and annotation of findings for later review or discussion.
Patient and Physician Records
Each examination is stored with patient and physician details attached, and output to electronic record systems keeps images with the rest of a patient's file.
Transport Case Supplied
An aluminium case is shown with the system, suiting departments that move the console between sites or store it securely between clinics. A keyboard and mouse accompany the console for record entry.
