The LE-310P is aimed at optical practices and laboratories whose order book includes a steady share of polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is used for safety eyewear, sports spectacles and children's glasses, and an independent optical practice that dispenses these can edge them in-house on the dedicated PC wheel, with glass handled on its own wheel beside it.
Optical technicians and glazing staff start each day with the size correction already done. Because the machine corrects itself at start-up, left and right lenses come out uniform from the first job, and staff can move straight on to edging.
The four wheels split the work clearly. Polycarbonate and glass are roughed separately, the V-groove wheel forms a pointed bevel for full-rim frames, the polishing wheel finishes a polished bevel, and a flat band edge is available for frames that need one. The lens range of 22 to 100 mm also covers larger lenses for wide frame shapes.
Optical laboratories that receive mixed PC, CR and glass orders from several practices can use the LE-310P as a general station, keeping polycarbonate on its own wheel within the same machine.
Hospital eye departments and eye clinics with an on-site glazing room can use it to complete spectacles for patients, including polycarbonate lenses for children and safety use.
Eyewear retailers with a workshop serving several branches can install the edger on one bench with its tank alongside, on a 220 V, 50 Hz supply, and process all three lens materials at one station. The clear dome lets staff follow each lens through the cycle.
