The LE-300 is aimed at optical practices and laboratories that glaze CR and glass lenses and want the two lenses of each pair to match in size. Because the machine corrects itself automatically at every start-up, an independent optical practice can switch it on in the morning with the correction already carried out when the first job begins.
Optical technicians and glazing staff benefit from the separate wheels for each task. CR and glass are roughed on their own 16 mm wheels, the 23 mm V-groove wheel forms a pointed bevel for full-rim frames, and the 11 mm polishing wheel finishes a polished bevel. A flat band edge is available for frames that call for one.
The lens range runs from 22 mm up to 100 mm, so larger lenses for wide or oversized frames can be handled on the same machine.
Optical laboratories processing CR and glass can use the LE-300 as a station for paired work, with uniform left and right sizing on each order. The clear domed cover lets staff watch each cycle, and the keypad with its digital display keeps the controls at the front.
Hospital eye departments and eye clinics with an on-site glazing room can use it to complete spectacles for patients in the building, with water drawn from its own tank beside the machine.
Eyewear retailers fitting out a branch workshop can place the edger on a standard bench and the tank beside it, connected by its hoses, and plan around a 220 V, 50 Hz supply. Staff in a new workshop can start each day with the machine already corrected.
