Bipolar Vessel Sealing
The manufacturer describes permanent sealing of blood vessels up to 7mm in diameter under bipolar coagulation using the seal safe modes, so a vessel can be dealt with using the instrument already in hand.
Five Working Modes
Pure cut, blend, fulgurate, spray and bipolar standard coagulation are each listed with their own rated load, output ceiling, peak voltage and crest factor.
Monopolar Cutting Output
Pure cut reaches 300W into 500 ohms at 1900V peak to peak with crest factor 1.6. Blend reaches 250W at 2300V with crest factor 2.5.
Monopolar Coagulation Output
Fulgurate reaches 120W into 500 ohms at 2800V with crest factor 2.9. Spray reaches 100W at 7000V with a crest factor of 6.2, the highest of the five.
Bipolar Output
Bipolar standard coagulation is listed at 100 ohms rated load, 70W maximum output, 550V peak to peak and a typical crest factor of 1.6, matching the pure cutting waveform at a far lower power.
Rapid Tissue Response
The manufacturer describes sampling current and voltage 450,000 times each second and responding to tissue impedance changes in less than 10 milliseconds, which it presents as its own proprietary technology.
Eight Inch Touch Screen
A wide TFT LCD touch screen of 8 inches carries all diathermy functions, with settings changed by touching icons and no additional buttons or knobs fitted.
Self Test and Electrode Monitoring
A comprehensive internal self test runs once the console is switched on, and return electrode monitoring watches patient impedance continually during use.
