Under Three Kilogrammes
The instrument weighs 2.9kg, which is light enough for one person to move it between rooms without help or any particular thought about doing so.
Narrow Bench Footprint
It measures 185mm wide by 386mm high by 166mm deep, so under 200mm of bench width is occupied by the whole instrument as it stands in a room.
Sphere, Cylinder and Addition
Sphere runs 0 to plus or minus 25, with cylinder and addition each 0 to plus or minus 9.99, and axis across 0 to 180 degrees in 1 degree steps.
Hundredth Resolution
Resolution is 0.01, 0.12 or 0.25 in dioptres and the same three steps in prism, so a hundredth is available on both scales when a question needs settling.
Prism to Fifteen
Prism runs 0 to 15cm/m and is presentable in either X-Y or P-B form, which covers the prismatic work a general practice ordinarily has to verify.
Three Cylinder Presentations
Cylinder is presentable as plus, mixed or minus, so a reading appears in whichever convention a practice already uses when writing a prescription down.
Contact Lens Measurement
Both soft and hard contact lenses are measured, and lens diameter is accepted from 12 to 90mm across the stated measuring range of the instrument.
Compact Display
The display is a 3.5 inch LCD, with a package size of 420 by 250 by 200mm for anybody planning delivery into a small room or a first floor premises.
