Visionix VX120+

The VX120+ serves optometry practices, ophthalmology clinics, and refractive surgery departments that want refraction, corneal shape, pressure, and thickness in one unit. It takes seven automatic measurements in one pass, so the patient stays in one position, and it flags only possible risk factors for the physician to review.

Optometrists, ophthalmologists, orthoptists and ophthalmic technicians operate it through a 10.1-inch multi-touch screen. Fully automatic XYZ alignment handles the right and left eye. Shack-Hartmann wavefront analysis uses 1,300 points for a 7 mm pupil, acquires in 0.2 seconds, and covers sphere from −20 to +20 D and cylinder from 0 to +8 D. Objective refraction runs under mesopic and photopic conditions for day and night vision.

Keratoconus work uses axial, tangential and refraction maps, the keratoconus probability index and progression monitoring. Glaucoma screening uses the iridocorneal angle, chamber volume and depth, a soft air puff tonometer w(up to 44 mmHg) and Scheimpflug pachymetry with pressure-corrected thickness. Cataract work uses retro-illumination, LOCS II and III grading, internal astigmatism, kappa angle and the Z.4.0 value for lens centring and aspheric implant selection.

Results move over RS232, USB, VGA and LAN, with review on a tablet or smartphone and printing to a local or network printer. Warnings flag measurements outside normal parameters, and reports are customisable, with synchronised data, graphs and maps. The 10.1-inch TFT screen has a 1024 × 600 resolution and a 14 mm observation area. The unit measures 530 × 312 × 570 mm and weighs 25 kg.

Refraction, keratometry, aberrometry, topography, pupillometry, tonometry and pachymetry are automatic. The patient stays in one position.

Automatic 3D alignment

Fully automatic XYZ alignment handles both eyes. Seven simultaneous measurements run without operator influence.

Small pupils assessed

Wavefront assessment works for pupils down to 1.2 mm. A 7 mm pupil is analysed at 1,300 points.

Day and night refraction

Objective refraction runs under mesopic and photopic conditions. Visual acuity simulation is included.

Keratoconus screening

Axial, tangential and refraction maps sit with the keratoconus probability index. Progression monitoring tracks change.

Glaucoma risk in one view

The iridocorneal angle, chamber volume and depth sit beside pressure and thickness. Pressure is corrected for corneal thickness.

Cataract grading

Retro-illumination supports LOCS II and III grading. Wavefront analysis separates corneal and internal aberrations.

Lens planning data

Internal astigmatism, kappa angle, and the Z.4.0 value inform lens centring and selection of aspheric implants.

Shareable results

You can review results on a tablet or smartphone and print them to a local or network printer. Reports are customisable.

Refraction range

Aberration analysis

Placido ring topography

Axial, tangential elevation and refraction maps are produced. Eccentricity and meridian tables are included.

Keratoconus probability index

The index is used to monitor progression and assess internal astigmatism. It supports keratoconus screening.

Scheimpflug pachymetry

Optical pachymetry measures corneal thickness. The value corrects the pressure reading.

Non-contact tonometer

A soft air puff measures intraocular pressure from 7 to 44 mmHg. The reading is corrected for corneal thickness.

Anterior chamber analysis

The iridocorneal angle, chamber volume and depth are reported. They sit in the glaucoma assessment.

Retro-illumination

Retro-illumination shows crystalline opacities. LOCS II and III scales grade them.

Kappa angle and Z.4.0 value

Both values inform lens centring and aspheric implant selection. They sit beside internal astigmatism.

Alignment is fully automatic for 3D position and for the right and left eye. Warnings flag measurements outside normal parameters.

10.1-inch multi-touch screen

The TFT screen has a 1024 × 600 resolution. The observation area is 14 mm.
