The SCF S.S. K-Files serve dental practices that perform root canal work and want a stainless steel range of 15 numbered sizes. SOCO describes the purpose as searching the root canal, then cleaning and shaping its walls, and the clinician picks each file by its number.
The numbers begin at 06 and 08, move through 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45, and finish with 50, 55, 60, 70 and 80. SOCO names medical stainless steel and a diamond-shaped cross-section. No taper is stated for any size, so a practice that needs a taper figure asks the supplier before ordering.
Length needs a decision too. Lengths of 21, 25 and 31 mm are shown, and SOCO does not match a length to a size. A buyer who needs a given length for a size says so on the order. Because each size is named by a number alone, a practice can write the order as a simple list of numbers and quantities.
Packing gives two routes. The X6 single pack serves a practice that keeps one size in stock. The X1 assorted pack arrives as two boxes: one covering sizes 15 to 40 and the other covering sizes 45 to 80, each holding 6 pieces.
The handle and labels help at the chairside. The picture shows a red handle with a ridged grip, and the labels carry seven colours with grey-toned marks on 06 and 08. Since 15 and 45 are both white, read the number with the colour when the tray is set out.
