The SCF S.S. H-Files serve dental practices that perform root canal work and want a stainless steel range of fifteen numbered sizes with one taper. SOCO removes debris during use, and the clinician selects each file by number.
The numbers start at 06 and 08, pass through 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45, and end at 50, 55, 60, 70 and 80. SOCO names medical stainless steel with a round cross-section and gives a taper of 02. Because no size has its own taper marked, a practice reads the sizes from the numbers alone.
Length calls for a choice as well. SOCO gives 21, 25 and 31 mm and ties none of them to a size. Anyone who needs a set length for a size says so at the time of the order.
Two packings are offered. The X6 single pack suits a practice that wants one size on hand. The X1 assorted pack comes as two boxes: one with sizes 15 to 40 and one with sizes 45 to 80, each holding 6 pieces.
The handle and labels provide help at the chairside. The picture shows a blue handle with a gripped surface, and the labels use seven colours. Since 15 and 45 are both white, a dental assistant checks the number too when laying out the instruments. With one taper for the range, the practice has a single value to note and can focus on number and length.
