The SCD07 suits dental and surgical teams that work at an operating microscope and want a chair that moves with the operator. SOCO lists it as a microscope doctor chair for the person at the eyepieces, who sits close to the instrument for long sessions. SOCO itself builds microscopes for dental and surgical treatment.
The armrests rotate four ways, front-to-back and left-to-right, so forearms can rest where the work calls for. A foot pedal adjusts the seat and backrest, letting the operator change position without putting down an instrument. SOCO describes all-around support and a design that follows the body's lines.
A gas lift moves the seat through a 120-140 mm stroke, and the picture marks seat heights of 490 mm and 630 mm. The cushion measures 470 × 450 mm and the backrest 380 × 250 mm, giving the operator a wide seat and a tall backrest to lean against. SOCO says the chair helps the operator keep the trunk well supported during treatment.
The polished base is 600 mm across, and it rolls on 50 mm diameter casters, allowing the chair to move between positions around the microscope. Ultra-fine fibre leather covers the seat over high-resilience foam. The load capacity is 150 kg, and the gross weight is 24 kg.
The seat, backrest, and armrest sizes are listed in the specification table, so a department can check them before ordering. A department fitting out a treatment room can order the chair under the code SCD07.
