The 7305.001 serves outpatient urology departments that examine the urethra and the bladder. Urologists operate it, and a light source with a fibre-optic cable connection provides illumination. A case keeps the scope and its set together between lists.
Passage through the urethra comes first. The oblique tip and the oval distal end are shaped for that route, and the 5 mm (15 Fr) shaft carries the optics and the channel together. The scope then reaches the bladder along its 400 mm working length. Light travels from the source through the removable fibre cable to the tip, so the view is lit as the scope advances.
Inspection of the bladder follows. The optics look straight ahead at a 0° direction of view, and the 120° angle of view takes in the surrounding wall. The tip bends 210° up or 150° down, so the operator brings each region into view while the shaft stays in place.
The lever and its brake serve every moment that calls for a steady view. Once the tip is set, the brake holds it there, and an accessory passes through the 2.5 mm channel while the tip stays aimed at the target. Forceps, HF probes and laser fibres all pass through the channel, entering at the instrument port on the adapter.
Between patients, the scope is reprocessed. The leak tester, gas sterilisation valve,e and disposable cleaning brush are included in the set for testing, cleaning,g and sterilisation. The light cable is detached for cleaning and storage, and the scope returns to service for the next patient on the list.
