Laboratories that clean narrow-necked glassware in Miele laboratory washer-disinfectors use the E 380. Laboratory technicians load it, and the glassware is cleaned and dried in the same programme, ready for the next sample.
Laboratories that reprocess narrow-necked glassware every day will find that the E 380 suits them. Its mobile unit holds 32 items on 32 nozzles with locking mechanisms, and a bracket for the ML/2 lets the washer recognise it automatically. The operator loads the unit, starts the programme, and the washer identifies the unit by itself, so the same load carrier is recognised each time. Each of the 32 nozzles has a locking mechanism and a matching clip, so each item has its own position on the unit.
Two nozzle sizes serve different necks. Fourteen E 351 nozzles of Ø 4 mm and 160 mm long are paired with E 353 clips, and 18 E 352 nozzles of Ø 6 mm and 220 mm long are paired with E 354 clips. A rinse nozzle for the powder dispenser is included, and the unit is made for the Miele PG 8535 and PG 8536.
Hot air drying is supported through a built-in connection, so each programme can finish with drying. The unit is made of stainless steel and plastic, finished in stainless steel and black, and it weighs 7.90 kg net, or 8.60 kg gross. It measures 517 × 535 × 502 mm, so a laboratory needs a loading area that takes up that footprint beside the washer. The Ø 4 mm nozzles are 160 mm long, the Ø 6 mm nozzles are 220 mm long, and the 14 and 18 nozzles together make up the 32 positions.
