The E 136 serves laboratories that grow cultures in reusable glass Petri dishes and reprocess them in Miele laboratory washers between uses. Laboratory technicians and glass-washing staff load it with up to 56 Petri dish halves, bases, and lids, all 100 mm in diameter. It is used to reprocess laboratory glassware.
When loading, each half goes into one of the 56 holders, which stand 70 mm high and sit about 26 mm apart. A full insert therefore holds 28 complete dishes, split into their bases and lids, and carries them into the lower basket of the machine as one load. When the programme ends, every half comes out in the holder it went in.
The number of dishes decides the setup. On its own, the E 136 handles 56 halves per load, which suits a steady daily flow of dishes. Where the count runs higher, the optional E 137 insert doubles the capacity to 112 halves, so a large batch goes through in one run. Whichever setup the laboratory runs, every half on the E 136 keeps the same holder height and spacing.
Sites with several Miele machines can standardise on the insert, since 21 models use it, including the IPC versions of the PLW 7111 and PLW 8636 for industrial parts cleaning. One stock of inserts covers the G 7825, PG models, and PLW models alike. The stainless steel insert weighs 2.11 kg and requires no charging or electrical safety testing. Reorders run on material number 03830280, and the EAN is 4002511115941.
