The E 126 serves hospital reprocessing departments that clean infusion flasks in Miele medical washer-disinfectors, including the PG 8562, PG 8582, and PG 8592, as well as the PWD 8682 and PWD 8692. Laboratories running the PG 8535 or PG 8536 can use the same insert. Decontamination technicians and laboratory staff load it with up to 48 infusion flasks at a time.
Loading follows the grid. Each flask goes into a 45 × 45 mm compartment for the bottle, and its neck has its own 28 × 28 mm compartment, so every flask takes the same place across the insert. Miele designs the E 126 for optimal loading of infusion flasks, and a full insert brings a batch of 48 into the machine at once. The batch comes out in the same order it went in.
Sites with more than one Miele machine gain a single insert design across them. Seven medical models, the PG 8562, PG 8582, PG 8582 CD, PG 8592, PWD 8682, PWD 8682 CD, and PWD 8692, take the E 126, along with the PG 8535 and PG 8536 laboratory machines. For example, a department that runs a PG 8582 next to a PWD 86e loads flasks the same way on both.
The insert is stainless steel, stands 83 mm high, and weighs 1.92 kg, keeping it flat and light enough to carry between the loading area and the machine. As a passive insert, it adds nothing to the electrical testing schedule. Its material number, 03808520, identifies it on reorder.
