The E 103/1 serves laboratories that reprocess test tubes and laboratory glassware in Miele machines, from SlimLine laboratory glasswashers to large-chamber washer-disinfectors. Laboratory technicians and glass-washing staff load it with small test tubes up to 12 × 75 mm, about 200 per insert, as the tubes return from the bench. Miele also offers large-chamber and SlimLine versions for industrial parts cleaning, making parts cleaning a second setting on the same insert.
Loading is where the insert does its work. Miele designs it for optimal loading of tubes that size, so a full batch of about 200 fits together, and each of the six sections can take its own group. The A 13 lid then closes over everything, and one covered insert moves to the machine and back.
Laboratories that run more than one Miele machine can standardise on the E 103/1. It fits seven PG models, from the PG 8504 to the PG 8593, eleven PLW models, from the PLW 6011 to the PLW 8693, and the G 7825. The same insert and lid then move between machines as workloads shift, and staff handle one insert design, whichever machine is free. A laboratory that adds a PLW machine alongside a G 7825 or PG 8535 can keep its inserts in service across both.
The insert is made of stainless steel and weighs 0.56 kg empty. It measures 0 × 220 mm and is 122 mm high, with 8 × 8 mm mesh across all six sections. Each pack includes a 13 lid, so each insert arrives complete.
