The A 2 serves laboratories that reprocess delicate glassware in Miele laboratory washers, and sites that clean utensils or industrial parts in Miele's IPC machines. Laboratory technicians, glass-washing staff, and parts-cleaning operators use it on half inserts, where it holds delicate items in place for the duration of the programme.
Loading takes two steps. Staff fill a half insert with the delicate items and lay the A 2 over it, so the 216 × 456 mm net covers the insert. Each piece stays in its position while the machine runs, and it remains there when the programme ends. Unloading reverses the order: the net lifts first, and each piece is removed from where it was placed.
Movement in the wash is the risk the net takes away. The netting holds delicate pieces down under the spray, so fragile glassware and utensils stay in the positions they were loaded in. The plastic-coated frame keeps the netting spread across its full area, and Miele's Rilsan coating covers the wire that forms it. Utensils stay in place under the netting until the net is lifted off.
Sites with several Miele machines can use one cover net design across 22 models, from the G 7825 and the PG range to the PLW machines, including IPC versions. At 0.39 kg, the net is light to lift on and off an insert, and as a passive part it needs no charging or electrical safety testing. Miele files it under covers within its laboratory washer accessories. Reorders use material number 03830460, alongside EAN 4002511115590.
