Students who learn this way understand sphere, cylinder, axis and prism as things observed rather than numbers that appear on a screen. High Prism Prescription Work
With the compensation device engaged, prismatic power reads to 20 prism dioptres in single dioptre graduations, and base angle across the full 0 to 180 degree range. Patients managed for binocular vision anomalies can carry substantial prism, and having an instrument that measures it in single dioptre steps keeps that work within the practice instead of treating each case as an exception requiring outside help.
Domiciliary and Multi-Site Working
Portability at 4kg opens up working patterns that a heavier powered unit rules out. Practices covering more than one site, or running domiciliary sessions, can take genuine verification capability with them rather than deferring every check until returning to the main premises. The compact 275mm by 120mm by 430mm footprint packs readily for transport.
