In nursing homes and long-term care facilities, the HH-NB01 serves elderly and high-dependency residents. Carers turn a resident 45° left or right from the handset, and the backrest raises them to a seated position for meals at the bed's dining table. The chair position also supports conversation and bedside activities through the day. The manufacturer designs the bed for dignified long-term care, and residents can also adjust their own position.
Rehabilitation centres can use the exercise modes directly. A session can use gentle rocking, leg flexion, sit-up training, turning left or right, or a combined exercise mode, all built into the bed's functions.
In hospitals, the bed serves patients who need repositioning. Staff use the electric turning function to move them to either side, raise the backrest for eating or reading, and use the IV pole supplied with the bed. A bedpan and a hair washing basin are standard, so toileting by bedpan and hair washing take place at the bedside.
Home care completes the intended settings. Within the room, castors allow flexible arrangement, and the brakes hold the bed in place. Carers at home operate every function from the same handset used in a care facility, and the mattress, dining table, and other accessories come standard with the bed.
In these settings, users are elderly and high-dependency, and carers control the bed from the handset. The manufacturer presents the HH-NB01 as one bed for multiple care situations: positioning, mealtimes, repositioning, and exercise all happen on it.
