Dental practices are the clearest fit. Handpieces sit on the injection bar so water reaches their internal channels, while examination kits ride in the tray rack and loose items sit in the lidded mesh basket. Power clean-D handles heavily soiled sets, and the drying phase leaves the load ready for packing and sterilisation, all from a machine fitted under the decontamination room worktop.
GP surgeries, outpatient clinics, and day-surgery units reprocess rigid and tubular instruments on DIN or SPRI II trays, up to two per cart level. Minimally invasive instruments go on the MIS injection bar, and anaesthesia tubing on the AN bar with its hose support, run through Instrument-AN-D. Wards and maternity units use the same chamber for wash bowls, hollow ware and baby bottles.
Small reprocessing rooms gain a recorded process without a large footprint. The access code protects validated programmes, and the display shows phase, chamber temperature and remaining time. A pump pressure sensor stops the process and shows an error code if pressure is wrong. NetCOM or a printer keeps the record, with T-DOC available where Getinge's tracking system is in use. The single-phase 230 V version suits buildings without a three-phase supply.
The WD15 Claro belongs where load sizes match its two cart levels and 150-litre chamber. Departments running continuous trolley loads, or working across a dirty-clean barrier wall, need larger pass-through equipment, and each cart stays within 8.5 kg including its own weight. Where water is hard, Getinge recommends the optional softener for water above 6 °dH, and the Deliming programme removes lime from the chamber.
