PUREViSION Detector with 0.15mm Element Size
The Aquilion Precision is built around Canon's PUREViSION detector featuring 0.15mm detector elements — approximately three times finer than standard CT elements. This submillimetre technology enables 1024-matrix ultra-high resolution reconstruction, revealing anatomical structures previously beyond the capability of clinical CT imaging.
1024-Matrix Ultra-High Resolution Reconstruction
Unlike conventional 512-matrix CT systems, the Aquilion Precision reconstructs images at 1024x1024 matrix resolution, providing four times the in-plane pixel density. This directly supports detailed imaging of small structures including coronary artery walls, inner ear ossicles, peripheral nerves, and small joint surfaces.
AIDR 3D Adaptive Dose Reduction
Integrated AIDR 3D technology adaptively reduces image noise across all acquisition protocols, enabling ultra-high resolution imaging at clinically appropriate radiation doses. Dose management is applied dynamically across scan parameters to support radiation protection compliance.
FIRST Iterative Reconstruction
Canon's FIRST algorithm applies forward-projected model-based iterative reconstruction to improve image quality at varied dose levels, enhancing diagnostic value across ultra-high resolution and standard clinical protocols.
SUREQuant Spectral CT Capability
The Aquilion Precision supports spectral CT through SUREQuant, enabling quantitative material decomposition and multi-energy imaging alongside structural ultra-high resolution assessment for a wider diagnostic range.
DICOM and PACS Integration
Full DICOM compatibility supports direct image transfer to hospital PACS, RIS, and EMR platforms, enabling structured radiological reporting, digital archiving, and multi-disciplinary clinical review.
