At birth, delivery suites and maternity theatres receive babies onto the HS-HZBM1000A. Before delivery, pre-warm mode prepares the bed and sets the mattress heating, so the baby lies on a warm surface. Once the skin sensor is on, baby mode takes over and holds the chosen skin temperature, while the APGAR timer marks 1, 5 and 10 minutes for scoring.
In neonatal and special care units, it suits babies who need open, warmed care and treatment for jaundice at the same time. Phototherapy starts on the bed the baby already occupies, so staff don't move a small or unsettled baby between devices, and they keep hands-on access through the open sides. Postnatal and paediatric wards use it the same way for babies who need warmth during phototherapy.
The stored temperature curve supports handover, showing on the screen itself how the baby's temperature has run. Manual mode gives staff direct control of the heat when servo control isn't needed, and pre-warm mode keeps the bed ready between admissions.
Positioning follows the task. The stand brings the bassinet to a comfortable working height for whoever is at the bed, the bassinet tilts up to 20° either way, and the warming module swings aside through 60° when space is needed above. Side panels fold out for procedures and lift off for cleaning, and the IV stand keeps infusions at the cot.
Its room needs mains power matching the supplied voltage, a temperature between 18 and 30 °C, and still air.
Babies who need enclosed humidified care, and bays that want suction and oxygen on the warmer, call for other equipment.
