Buoyant Foam Body
Each dumbbell is a shaped block of buoyant foam. As a patient presses it down into the water, the foam resists rising back up, adding a gentle load that helps build strength through a natural, controlled movement.
Central Hand Grip
A hand grip through the middle lets a patient hold one dumbbell in each hand securely. The simple grip means they can concentrate on the movement itself rather than on how they are holding the equipment during a session.
Water Resistance Training
As the dumbbells are moved through the water, the water resists the movement, so the arms and upper body have to work harder. This turns a simple push or sweep into a controlled strengthening exercise in the pool.
Natural, Adjustable Effort
The resistance comes only from moving against the water, so it rises and falls with how fast and hard the patient moves. This makes the effort easy to control and lets a patient work within their own comfort at every stage.
Gentle On The Joints
Because the water supports the body and there is no hard impact, the dumbbells let a patient strengthen the arms and shoulders with far less strain than lifting weights.
Light And Easy To Use
The dumbbells are light and simple to hold, so they fit smoothly into a therapy or exercise session. Because they are so simple, they can be moved easily between patients during a session as a programme allows.
Pairs With Pool Therapy
The dumbbells work naturally alongside pool-based rehabilitation, so a therapist can combine them with standing, stepping or other water exercise for a fuller programme.
