Contact A-Scan Ultrasound Biometry
The OcuScan RxP performs contact A-scan ultrasound biometry to measure axial length, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness, and vitreous depth. Contact A-scan delivers reliable biometric data across the full range of axial lengths, including short and long eyes where optical biometry may be limited by media opacities or other factors.
Multiple IOL Calculation Formulae
Integrated IOL power calculation supports the major surgical formulae including SRK/T, Holladay 1, Hoffer Q, and Binkhorst. Multiple formula outputs allow the surgeon to compare results and select the optimal IOL power for each individual patient.
Integrated Ultrasound Pachymetry
The OcuScan RxP combines A-scan biometry with ultrasound pachymetry in a single instrument, providing corneal thickness measurement for pre-operative corneal assessment, glaucoma IOP correction, and refractive surgery safety screening alongside biometric data.
Multiple Measurement Averaging
Multiple consecutive biometry and pachymetry readings are taken and averaged automatically, minimising inter-measurement variability and providing reliable mean values for accurate IOL power calculation and clinical documentation.
Data Storage and Connectivity
Measurement results and IOL calculation outputs are stored in device memory and available for transfer to EMR and practice management systems, supporting structured pre-operative documentation and data integration within hospital cataract surgical workflows.
CE Certified for Ophthalmology Clinical Use
The OcuScan RxP carries CE marking in compliance with applicable medical device directives, satisfying procurement compliance for hospitals, specialist eye clinics, and regulated ophthalmology settings. Full documentation is available from Medigear.uk.
