BEMER was founded in 1998 by Peter Gleim in a small office in Vorarlberg, Austria, originally registered as INNOMED International AG. The company was established with a singular focus on researching and developing methods to address microcirculation — the flow of blood through the body's smallest vessels. In 2010, INNOMED International AG was officially renamed BEMER Int. AG, with the company and product sharing the same name for the first time.
