High-Frequency Ultrasound Contact Pachymetry
The iPac uses high-frequency ultrasound contact measurement to deliver precise corneal thickness readings. The probe is placed briefly on the anaesthetised corneal surface, providing accurate A-scan pachymetry suited to glaucoma management, refractive surgery screening, and intraoperative corneal assessment.
Automatic Probe-Triggered Measurement
The iPac activates measurement automatically when probe contact with the corneal surface is detected, eliminating manual triggering and reducing operator-dependent variability. Automatic activation ensures consistent measurement conditions across clinical users of varied experience levels.
Multiple Measurement Averaging
Multiple consecutive corneal thickness readings are captured and automatically averaged, minimising inter-measurement variability and delivering a reliable mean corneal thickness value for accurate clinical documentation, pre-operative planning, and longitudinal monitoring.
Compact Handheld Portable Design
The iPac's compact, lightweight handheld design supports pachymetry at the slit lamp, chairside, and in the operating room, enabling flexible clinical use across varied examination environments without mains power dependency or fixed instrument installation.
RS-232 Data Output and Connectivity
Corneal thickness measurements are available for transfer via RS-232 interface to EMR and practice management systems, supporting structured clinical data documentation and integration with hospital and clinic digital workflows.
CE Certified for Ophthalmology Clinical Use
The Reichert iPac carries CE marking in compliance with applicable medical device directives, satisfying procurement compliance for hospitals, specialist eye clinics, and regulated ophthalmology settings. Full documentation is available from Medigear.uk.
