Sale on Manual & Electric Hospital Beds - Starting from 25 September!
The Southern District covers half the country from a few hospitals. MediGear partners plan the distance into every service call.
The Southern District covers more than half the land area of Israel, with its hospital capacity concentrated in a few places, so a medical equipment partner here plans long distances between a short list of buyers. Soroka in Be'er Sheva is the referral centre for the whole south, Barzilai serves Ashkelon, the Assuta centre covers Ashdod, and Yoseftal sits far down at Eilat.
MediGear is a UK-registered medical equipment distributor and B2B marketplace working with verified manufacturers and healthcare buyers in more than 80 countries. Its partner program opens that catalogue to businesses in the Southern District selling into Soroka in Be'er Sheva, Barzilai in Ashkelon, the Assuta medical centre in Ashdod, the Yoseftal hospital in Eilat, the Ben-Gurion medical faculty laboratories, health fund clinics and desert community services.
Three program tracks are open to businesses in the Southern District. Different business models, the same catalogue behind them — the right one depends on how much of the transaction you want to own.
Agents introduce qualified hospitals, clinics, distributors and procurement teams to MediGear. The role focuses on generating opportunities and connecting buyers with the team; MediGear handles quotations, supply, documentation and fulfilment. Earnings are commission-based on confirmed sales; no purchasing or inventory is required, and sales materials and product support are provided. It suits representatives who accept that Eilat is a four-hour drive and who plan installation, training and service into a single visit when they make it. Desert community clinics order consumables in blocks each quarter. Dental practices in Be'er Sheva reorder chairside items regularly each month.
Distributors represent MediGear in an agreed country, region or territory and actively develop the local market — the Southern District alone, the south with the centre, or national coverage of one product group. Products are purchased at distributor level for onward supply, and territorial rights may be exclusive or non-exclusive. Market development, commercial support, and regulatory and import coordination are included.
Resellers purchase at wholesale and resell independently through an existing medical business, online store, sales network or customer base. Order quantities are flexible, and you sell on your own terms to your own customers. Resellers operate independently without territorial or official distribution rights, so there is no territorial commitment and no market development obligation.
The program is open to companies registered with the Israeli Registrar of Companies and with a genuine route to healthcare buyers. Applications commonly come from:
Equipment distributors and importers already supplying public and private hospitals
Independent sales agents with contacts in theatre, imaging, pathology or dental
Online medical supply stores and e-commerce operators
Biomedical engineering firms adding equipment sales to service contracts
Practice fit-out, day surgery and healthcare project companies
Dental, laboratory and rehabilitation equipment resellers
Clinical evidence literacy is the differentiator. Soroka carries referral-centre volumes and expects comparatively rapid replacement. Barzilai and Ashdod judge on turnaround, and the Eilat hospital needs equipment that runs for months without a call-out. Netivot, Dimona and Arad facilities order smaller items occasionally, and Barzilai buys imaging equipment in scheduled rounds. Institutional evaluation considers accessibility and maintenance response alongside the specification.
Competitive margins. Partner-level commercial terms apply across the catalogue, with performance recognised for partners who hit agreed targets.
Full product catalogue. Certified equipment across diagnostics, surgical and therapeutic, lab and pathology, sterilisation, hospital furniture, dental, ENT and ophthalmic, rehabilitation, orthopaedic, cardiology, gastroenterology, neonatal, dermatology, veterinary and spare parts.
Sourcing and quotation support. Send an enquiry and the team sources the product, negotiates with the manufacturer and returns a documented quotation — including items outside the current catalogue.
Direct partnerships team. Order queries, supplier negotiations, logistics coordination, and after-sales issues go straight to the team by email, so you can focus on selling rather than chasing suppliers.
Marketing support. Co-branded brochures, digital assets, product imagery and joint campaigns you can put in front of buyers in the Southern District.
Regulatory support. Country-specific import guidance, certification documentation and connections to local regulatory consultants for market entry questions.
Medical devices are regulated by the Ministry of Health, which operates a national device registry and requires registration before a device is marketed. Classification, evidence requirements and the registration route are administered centrally, and departmental information is published by the Ministry of Health.
Registration is normally held by an Israeli entity acting for the manufacturer, and approvals from recognised reference regulators are widely used to support an application. Requirements differ by device class and by whether the product is already approved in a reference market. Standards applying to imported equipment are published by the Standards Institution of Israel.
Import clearance is handled by the customs administration under the Israel Tax Authority, with standards and health checks applied at entry alongside tariff treatment. MediGear is not the registration holder for partner products and does not give regulatory advice.
Apply online. Complete the partner application form and tell us about your market, your experience and which track interests you.
Discovery call. The partnerships team reviews your application and arranges a call to discuss goals, coverage and fit.
Agreement and onboarding. Sign the partner agreement and complete onboarding, including commercial terms, product training and marketing assets.
Start earning. Begin selling, distributing, or referring while MediGear coordinates manufacturing, documentation, and freight.
Evidence packaging is the first advantage. Health fund committees ask for clinical data early, and a partner who can assemble it from the manufacturer keeps the conversation moving. Registration is handled nationally, so the administrative work here is no heavier than elsewhere; the distances are what shape the service commitment. Documentation is retained by the registered importer and verified at renewal. Institutional documentation accompanying a southern consignment is retained for inspection.
Second is scope. A hospital adding a department wants one supplier answerable for everything in the room, not four.
Rapid replacement is the third. Ashdod port sits inside the district and processes a substantial share of national imports. Be'er Sheva is the practical depot for anything travelling further south. Be'er Sheva is ninety minutes from the coast and four hours from Eilat.
This page is published for general business and information purposes and is not an offer of partnership. MediGear reviews all applications, and approval is not guaranteed. Any partnership that proceeds is governed by the written terms agreed between MediGear and the partner. Product availability, category coverage, territory arrangements, commercial terms and any commission or margin structure vary by application and may change. The regulatory information here is general information about the Israeli framework and is not legal, regulatory or professional advice. Requirements administered by the Ministry of Health, including registration in the national device registry, depend on the device, its classification, its intended purpose and the Israeli entity holding the registration. Partner businesses remain responsible for confirming what applies to their own products, and should obtain qualified regulatory, customs or legal advice where required.
Apply with your business details, the parts of the Southern District you cover and the track that interests you. The MediGear partnerships team reviews every application and will come back to you to discuss it.
The program is open to companies registered with the Israeli Registrar of Companies and with a genuine route to healthcare buyers: equipment distributors and importers, independent sales agents, online medical supply stores, biomedical engineering firms, medical centre project companies, and dental, laboratory or rehabilitation resellers. Speciality experience carries more weight than company size. Applicants in the Southern District with references at Soroka or the Ashdod centre are assessed quickly.
Three. Sales agents introduce hospitals, clinics, distributors and procurement teams and earn commission on confirmed sales without holding stock. Authorised distributors represent MediGear in an agreed territory, purchase at distributor level and develop the local market. Resellers buy at wholesale and resell independently through a business they already run, without territorial rights or commitments.
No. Joining is free for Israeli businesses. There are no registration charges, subscriptions or upfront payments required to become an agent, distributor or reseller. Distributors and resellers purchase the products they sell, and partners handle their own local delivery, storage and any marketing they run beyond the assets MediGear provides.
Agents earn commission on confirmed sales rather than a retainer. The rate depends on the product category, the order value and the volume you bring, and is confirmed in writing before you begin introducing buyers. Because agents hold no stock and carry no inventory risk, earnings simply follow completed orders.
Exclusive territorial rights are available to qualified distributors who can demonstrate market reach, financial capability and alignment with MediGear standards, assessed case by case. Non-exclusive distribution is also offered and is more common for partners entering a new category. In a market of this size, a territory is usually national, defined by product group rather than by geography. The south is generally held alone, since its distances already fill a service round.
Partners receive onboarding, product knowledge materials, regulatory guidance for their market, sales tools and co-branded marketing assets. The partnerships team handles order queries, supplier negotiations and logistics coordination, including certification and customs documentation for inbound consignments.
As a general rule, yes. Devices must be registered in the national medical device registry before they are marketed, with the registration normally held by an Israeli entity acting for the manufacturer. Approvals from recognised reference regulators are widely used to support an application. MediGear is not the registration holder for partner products, so confirm your position with the ministry.
Not on its own, though it helps considerably. Approvals held in Europe or the United States are commonly relied on to support an Israeli registration and can shorten review, but national registration remains a separate requirement. Confirm the applicable route for each device class before quoting.
